There are many things to see and do in the area: There are more than 250 kilometres of hiking paths and nearly 200 kilometres of cycle paths right on your doorstep. Interesting cities include Rotenburg with its historic old quarter, Bad Hersfeld, Kassel, Eisenach, the spa town Bad Soden-Allendorf with its museums and the cathedral city Fulda. The surrounding landscape is charming and there many forests and mountains nearby e.g. Waldhessen, Knüllgebirge, the Rhone, Vogelsberg, Thüringer forest. You can also discover interesting museums such as the Kali mining museum, the railway and toy museum and the Heimat and frontier museum.
